Description
Pobrecita Richerson Mynders (1865-1946) was the wife of Seymour Allen Mynders, the first President of the West Tennessee State Normal School. She remained at the school for many years after her husband's death in 1913. Known to the students as "Mother Mynders" she was the school's first librarian and "house mother". She is seen here in front of the Administration Building with Sam Johnson (left) and Henry Jacobs (right), circa 1930.
