Description
Memphis Mayor Loeb meeting union representatives, February 13, 1968. The sanitation workers union, Local 1733, was a chapter of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). From left; Joe Paisley, AFSCME representative; P.J. Ciampa, AFSCME national director of field services; William Lucy, AFSCME national associate director of legislation; and T.O. Jones, president of Memphis Local 1733. Mayor Henry Loeb has his back to the camera.
