Description
The Staples Singers: (l to r) Cleotha, "Pops", and Mavis. They started as a gospel/folk act out of Chicago in the late 1940s. In the 1960s they began recording for Stax and went on to success in the early 70s with hits "Respect Yourself" and "I'll Take You There".
