Description
A. Maceo Walker (left), Dr. Arthur Fletcher (center) and Dr. Odell Horton (right) together for a dinner to kick off the United Negro College Fund's fundraising campaign to benefit LeMoyne-Owen College. A. Maceo Walker was a prominent Memphis buinessman who headed the Universal Life Insurance Company for several decades and opened the Tri-State Bank. Dr. Arthur Fletcher was president of the United Negro Fund, and coined the phrase, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste". Dr. Odell Horton was President of LeMoyne-Owen College.
