Description
A group of teachers and counselors from a LeMoyne-Owen College initiative called "Upward Bound". Left to right: Minnie Brooks, Joy Miller, Frances McAnally, Deborah Martin, and Gloria Thompson (seated). The project was aimed at motivating students who had been classified as non-achievers. It was also designed to give academic guidance to high school students from low-income families throughout the school year.
