Description

South Main Street, Memphis, Tennessee, circa 1942. Loews' State Theater at 152 S. Main is at right. The photograph was taken after the lights were turned off for a blackout during World War II. A blackout drill was held in June 1942 across Tennessee and this photograph may have been taken on that evening.
