Description
The front of the Sears Crosstown building in August 1983. Located on the west side of Cleveland Street in midtown Memphis, this building was one of the main distribution centers for Sears, Roebuck and Company mail-order business as well as housing a retail store. The building opened in 1927 and was vacated in the 1990s. In 2010, the Crosstown Arts project began working on resurrecting the building as a "mixed-used vertical urban village" and it opened in August 2017 as the Crosstown Concourse.
