Description

One of two Grecian style plaster statues that adorned the arched entrance of the Lyric Theater at 291 Madison Avenue, Memphis, before it caught fire in 1941. Salvage crews attempted to remove the statues intact but the chains slipped causing them to crash to the ground and shatter.
