Description

Undated (1950s) card of E.H. Crump Stadium, Memphis, Tennessee.

Seating 30,000 people, the stadium was the home of the Memphis State College (later Memphis State University) Tigers football team for many years until the Memphis Memorial Stadium was built in 1965, relegating Crump Stadium to a purely high school facility. All the stands in the image were demolished in 2006 as part of the remodeling of the stadium.
