“Memphis in Pictures: Welcoming You to Memphis and The New South", by George C. Bridges. Published in Memphis, Tennessee, designed and printed by S. C. Toof & Company, engravings by Bluff City Engraving Company, aerial photographs by George W. Hayley, ground and interior photographs by Frank Hitchings, 1940. Shofner added annotations about the locations to many photographs in the book.
