    Description

    Vol. 2, No. 2 of "The Elizabeth Messick High School Bulletin" published by the school's students in December 1909.

    Messick High School on Amboy Road in Buntyn, Memphis, Tennessee, opened in 1908 and operated from 1909 to 1981. It was named after Elizabeth Messick (1876-1951) who was superintendent of Shelby County Schools from 1904 to 1908 and was responsible for having the school built. The main building was demolished in 1982.
