Description

Panoramic view of Forrest Park in Memphis, Tennessee, centered on the statue of Confederate general Nathan Bedford Forrest (1821-1877) looking west with Union Avenue to the left. The Memphis Pure Milk Company building can be seen on Union, which had been occupied by the Clover Leaf Dairy until 1905. The photographer was John Calvin Coovert (1862-1937).
