Description
Program of the Memphis Jockey Club in Memphis, Tennessee, for April 17, the third day of the 1888 Spring Meeting. The Memphis Jockey Club was established in 1836 and meetings were held at various locations, the last being on the future site of the Memphis Fairgrounds between 1890 and 1906. When gambling was made illegal in 1906, horse racing ceased in Memphis.
