To 197 students enrolled in Memphis State's bustling young Department of Journalism, the definition is still meaningful. In a newly-equipped writing laboratory in which practical situations are simulated, students daily turn out news stories, advertisements, radio copy and creative feature articles- all under pressure of deadlines.
