Cover Story, "I Did It My Way" by Les Seago

For the past two decades, University College has provided a niche for adults whose innovation and creativity set them apart from traditional college students. With the assistance of faculty, students in the University College design their own degree programs, deciding which courses they need to meet their personal academic needs. A key part of the program is the senior project. For his project, Ray Turner (B.P.S. '93) invented a syringe with a needle that automatically retracts after the plunger is depressed.
