Description
Sketch of J. Millard Smith, president of Memphis State College, Memphis, Tennessee, from 1946 to 1960. The college's name was changed to Memphis State University in 1957. The artist was Ron Smith and the charcoal drawing was one of seven presidential sketches published in the 1962 DeSoto yearbook.
