Description

"A Letter from the Jackson Committee of Nashville, in Answer to One from a Similar Committee, at Cincinnati, Upon the Subject of Gen. Jackson's Marriage" was issued in 1827 to counter questions by his political opponents about the validity of Andrew Jackson's marriage to Rachel Donelson Robards. The reprint includes an introduction and notes by Major L. Wilson, Associate Professor of History at Memphis State University.
