Description
"The Robert R. Church family of Memphis: guide to the papers with selected facsimiles of documents and photographs", written by Pamela Palmer, presents a biographical sketch of the prominent African American Robert R. Church family of Memphis, lists the holdings of the Church family papers in the Special Collections Department at Memphis State University, and explains the scope and content of each series within the collection as it was constituted in 1978. Donated by Sara Roberta Church, the collection was restricted until 1988.
The Church family papers (MSS.71) have had additions since the guide was published. For information on the collection, contact the University of Memphis Libraries Special Collections Department at specialcollections@memphis.edu.
