Abstract
Brief account that the earthquake of possibly February 7, 1812 was felt at Prairie De Chein in Wisconsin. From the St. Louis Louisiana Gazette.
Transcript
We learn by letters from Prairie du Chein 600 miles north of this place, that the earthquake has been severely felt there. By these letters we also learn, that the British are sending BELTS through all the Indian nations, offering every inducement to take up the hatchet against the United States. Louisania Gazette.
