Abstract
Felt report from Frankfort Kentucky for the December 16, 1811 earthquake. Time of the first shock is noted as being at 2:30 am local time. Duration of the quake was 2 minutes. Another shock was felt shortly after 3:00 am. 2 more shocks were felt between 7:00 and 8:00 am. Damage was noted to to the top of chimneys, with bricks shaken off. The force of the earthquake was described like this: “It shook the houses so as to cause a very considerable alarm lest they fall.”

THE PALLADUM. FRANKFORT: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 18, 1811. EARTHQUAKE. On Monday morning last, at about half past two o'clock, the shock of an Earthquake was very sensibly felt in this place, which lasted about two minutes. A little after three o'clock it was again slightly felt, and between seven and eight o'clock there were two more shocks, but neither of them so severe as the first. It shook the houses so as to cause a very considerable alarm let they should fall, and some bricks were thrown off the tops of chimnies by it.
