Abstract
The current document explores the Black woman's role in the fight for justice during the pre-Civil Rights Movement. Through the exploration of sexual assault and the controversy of the exploitation of Black woman's body, Rosa Parks' work through the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) provided a visible woman leader who used her position to advocate for the rights of all people.
