Description
Studio portrait of the boxer Jack Dempsey inscribed to Herb Caldwell and dated September 2, 1930. Dempsey (1895-1983) was heavyweight boxing champion from 1919 to 1926 and retired the following year. He did exhibition bouts before serving in the Coast Guard in World War II. He was also a businessman.
