Stratoliner Club certificate, 1941
Certificate of membership of the Stratoliner Club given to Valerie Dawson (Charles Bobbitt's aunt) to commemorate her June 16, 1941, flight by Transcontinental and Western Air, Inc. TWA operated five Boeing 307 Stratoliners between Los Angeles and New York from April 1941 until they were sold to the U.S. government after war was declared. The U.S. Army returned the planes to TWA in 1944 and they were flown until 1951 when they were sold to a French airline.

Published by Baptist Hospital in 1960, it documents, through pictures and text, the threat posed to the Madison-East Building by the fire that destroyed Russwood Park across the street, the home of the Memphis Chicks baseball team, on April 17, 1960.
