Description

Blues and gospel singer "Gatemouth" Moore at the corner of Beale Street and Hernando, Memphis, Tennessee, 1957. Rev. Arnold Dwight "Gatemouth" Moore (1913-2004) performed from the 1930s and was regarded by many as one of the greatest blues singers ever. He toured widely and is credited as the first blues singer to appear at the Apollo Theater and Carnegie Hall.
