Description
Black and White Store, a department store on South Main Street, Memphis, Tennessee, in August 1947. The first Black and White Store was established by Daniel Lewis in 1905 and was next to Brys on Main. It later moved to the corner of Main and Gayoso. In the mid-1950s, the store was renamed Shainberg's after manager Sam Shainberg who had married Lewis' daughter.
