Of the 10 trips included in Sidetreks 4, each provides a leisurely three-day weekend trip. Most are designed for a Saturday and Sunday getaway and average five to six hours driving time."

Ernie Pyle articles on Commercial Appeal, 1939-1940
Mimeograph copies of five articles written by journalist Ernie Pyle (1900-1945) between December 28, 1939, and January 3, 1940, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Memphis, Tennessee, newspaper The Commercial Appeal. Between 1935 and 1942, Pyle was a roving reporter for Scripps-Howard who travelled the country writing human interest stories.
