Description

Broadside titled “Patterson to McKellar: The Challenge, Reply and Rejoinder, Liquor and Law Defiance vs. Prohibition and Law Enforcement”. Former Governor M.R. Patterson was running against U.S. Congressman Kenneth McKellar for one of Tennessee's U.S. Senate seats in 1915 and challenged McKellar to a debate on the temperance issue. Patterson charged that McKellar was anti-temperance.
