Description
A document listing payments of services in the Freedmen Department, Memphis, TN, 1865 April. It shows names, occupations, period of service, rate of pay, amount, signature of the employee, and a witness signature. Captain T. A. Walker signed the document certifying that the pay roll was correct. Captain T. A. Walker was the Superintendent of Freedmen West Tennessee.
