Receipt; by direction of General Sherman, Headquarters Army of the United States, from O. M. Poe, Bvt. Brig. Gen. to Gen. G. W. Gordon, Memphis, Tennessee, October 24, 1882, for copies of Civil War maps.
George Washington Gordon (October 5, 1836-August 9, 1911) was a general in Confederate States Army, lawyer, school superintendent, congressman, and one of the first members of the Ku Klux Klan.
