Description

Memorial speech given by G. W. Gordon, Nashville, Tennessee, to commemorate those who died at the Battle of Franklin. 10 handwritten pages on Life Association of America paper, 1870s(?).

George Washington Gordon (October 5, 1836-August 9, 1911) was a general in Confederate States Army, lawyer, school superintendent, congressman, and one of the first members of the Ku Klux Klan.
