Description

Requisition receipt issued during the Civil War to Hamilton Parks of Dyer County, Tennessee, by Colonel James Milton True of the 62nd Regiment, Illinois Infantry, from their headquarters at Kenton, Tennessee, dated November 11, 1862. Certified that the following four enslaved men have been employed by the regiment as cooks and teamsters: Doc aged about 17, Agent aged about 23, Samuel aged about 71, and Hatten aged about 19.
