    Description

    A group of witnesses called to testify in the trial of J.W. Milam and Roy Bryant for the murder of Emmett Till at the Sumner Court House in Mississippi on September 22, 1955. The witnesses were Walter Reed (left), his grandson Willie Reed (second left) and Amanda Bradley (right). Also in the group are Emmett Till's mother Mamie Bradley (third left), Dr. T.R.M. Howard (third right) of Mound Bayou, Mississippi, who founded the Regional Council of Negro leadership, and Michigan Congressman Charles Diggs (second right).
