Description
A card advertising the opening of Joseph Cortese's Virtuoso School of Violin in the Woman's Building, Memphis, Tennessee, on September 4, 1917. Cortese and his brothers were well-known musicians in the city. Ruth Stephenson (1901-1981) noted in her scrapbook that Joseph Cortese was her second violin teacher. From Ruth L.
