1966 Memphis State Classic basketball program

Basketball program of the Memphis State Classic played at the Mid-South Coliseum, Memphis, Tennessee, on December 16-17, 1966.

Participating teams were Memphis State University, University of Maryland, University of Arkansas and Oklahoma State University. MSU beat Arkansas 43-36 and Maryland 55-53.

1969 Liberty Bowl Basketball Classic program

Participating teams were Memphis State University, Mississippi State University, University of Arkansas, and University of Tulsa. MSU beat Mississippi State 83-74 and lost to Tulsa 72-82.

The 1976-1977 MSU Tigers won their first round Metro game, played at the Mid-South Coliseum, Memphis, Tennessee, against Tulane University 94-80, on March 3, 1977, but lost to eventual champions University of Cincinnati 67-68 the next day.

The 1979-1980 MSU Tigers won their first round Metro game, played at the Freedom Hall, Louisville, Kentucky, against Saint Louis University 62-60, on February 28, 1980, but lost to eventual champions University of Louisville 65-84 the next day.

The Metro tournament was played at the Mid-South Coliseum, Memphis, Tennessee, March 4-6, 1982. Memphis State University had a bye in the first round and defeated Virginia Tech 71-70 in the semifinal. The Tigers defeated the University of Louisville in the championship game, 73–62, to win their first Metro tournament.

1991 Memphis State University vs De Paul University basketball program

Program for the basketball game between the Memphis State University Tigers and the De Paul University Blue Demons played at The Pyramid, Memphis, Tennessee, on November 29, 1991. The Tigers lost the game 89-92. This was the first MSU game played at The Pyramid which opened on November 9, 1991.
Memphis State College vs New York Celtics basketball program, 1941

A program of basketball games played at Memorial Gymnasium, Memphis State College, on February 18, 1941, and a clipping on the game from the "Memphis Press-Scimitar" the following day. The feature game was the New York Celtics (Pro-Champs) vs Memphis State College (Memphis Collegiate Champs). The Tigers lost to the World Champion Celtics, 48-43. The "Memphis Press-Scimitar" described the game "as uproariously ridiculous a contest as Memphis has ever seen." For three full quarters, Celtics forward Davey Banks and crew gave a dazzling exhibition and scored almost at will to simply maintain their lead. Midway through the fourth quarter and leading by eight points, the Celtics famed comical circus went into action. At one point, Banks played for the Tigers and even the referee, Marion Hale, scored a basket for the home team. Other games that evening included: Treadwell Jrs. vs Teachers Training School (Treadwell won 18-16) and, Grand Junction, Tennessee, vs Messick High School (Grand Junction won 28-19).

National Invitation Basketball Tournament program, 1957

Program of the 20th National Invitation Tournament of the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Basketball Association held at Madison Square Garden in New York City in 1957. Memphis State College was one of 12 teams competing in the tournament and was runner up to Bradley, losing 84-83 in the final.

Memphis State University was one of 12 teams competing in the tournament. Providence College beat Memphis State 71-70 in the first round.
