Description

A bibliography of all significant writing by and about Southern writer Lillian Eugenia Smith (1897-1966) from 1936 to 1969. Smith's most well-known work is the novel "Strange Fruit" published in 1944. Paula Snelling of the University of Georgia Library collected and sorted material about Smith for their collection.

The volume also contains part two of Johann Häcker's report "Bericht aus und über Amerika" ("Report About and From America") from the 1840s which was written to encourage German emigration to Morgan County, Tennessee. The first part was published in MVC Bulletin 3.
