    Description

    Verses composed in support of Memphis, Tennessee, mayoral candidate Watkins Overton, and his running mate Clifford Davis, in 1927. Backed by "Boss" Edward H. Crump, the Overton-Davis ticket was successful, defeating Rowlett Paine.
